Earth Uprising Strikes Against Politicians’ Inaction Against Climate Crisis

August 1, 2019

Planet Earth, August 1, 2019: The sixth week of our #ClimateStrikeSummer has arrived, and this week’s strikes will target the politicians who either deny climate change, or have made the decision to not support swift and expansive climate action. In the U.S., also the 2nd largest polluter of CO2 in the world, the federal administration denies climate science and anthropogenic climate change. Our politicians need to know we won’t allow them to ignore the climate crisis any longer. We are demanding politicians have a comprehensive climate action plan that incorporates equity and protections for those affected the most by the climate crisis.

This strike is a part of week six of eight of the #ClimateStrikeSummer campaign and will demonstrate that the youth are demanding system change, NOT climate change, from the greatest contributors to the climate crisis in modern society.

Here is WHO we will be striking against, WHEN we will be doing it, and WHERE are doing it. We only included a list of some of the strikes this Friday; this is NOT a comprehensive list.
