INTRODUCTION

Our social media branch is dedicated to amplifying the voices of our team! We are dedicated to uplifting the work and projects of our members!

This branch will do this by preparing and releasing press releases, connecting youth with media opportunities, placing op-eds written by youth, building partnerships with climate focused media organizations, and assisting with “Earth Uprising Media” content aimed to highlight the work and experiences of the members of our organization.

Earth Uprising Media

OUR BRANCH STRUCTURE

EU Media, like our other branches, will be organizing our volunteers through the implementation of working groups. Each group will have responsibilities related to Earth Uprising Media. You can check out our current available groups down below. All working groups will have a facilitator, notetaker, and a reporter. These roles aren’t assigned, volunteers are to sign up for these roles and can take turns. This will give all members in a working group an opportunity to take on a role at our working group meetings.

The projects of these working groups will be supported by our media directors. Our Media Directors will also be the ones that keep the work of this branch connected with other EU branches and efforts.

Press & Writing

This group will work on press releases and working on open-ed pieces. This group is for all the writers (off all kinds, especially creative writers) out there. If you’re into journalism in the youth climate justice space, then this is the group for you!

Creative Content

This group will work on creative content revolving youth climate justice activism and the experiences of members of our team. This group is for all the video creators, Tiktok lovers, podcast enthusiast, and more! This group has more space to expand their digital imagination in the climate justice work!

Social Media & Graphic Design

This working group will be creating graphics and content for our social media platforms. Volunteers will post about campaign efforts, the work of our local chapters, updates and news related to our organization, organizing social media take overs, and will be working with directors to create social media toolkits.
